Please ensure that the Microsoft Authenticator app is installed on your smartphone before proceeding with the following steps:

1. Open your computer's browser in private mode (incognito mode).

2. Navigate to the following page: https://login.microsoftonline.com/

3. Enter your login credentials.

4. In the presented prompt "Action required. Your organisation requires additional security information...," click the "Next" button.

5. In the browser window titled "Keep your account secure" click the "Next" button.

6. In the browser window titled "Microsoft Authenticator - Set up your account," click the "Next" button.

7. Launch the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone. Allow the app to send notifications.

8. In the Microsoft Authenticator app, add an account by clicking the "+" button and selecting the account type as "Work or school"

9. Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen using the app.

10. In the computer browser, click the "Next" button.

11. To verify functionality, enter the code displayed on the computer screen.

Now you will be able to use the Microsoft Authenticator app for two-step authentication.
